History of the Town of Rockingham, Vermont. Including the Villages of Bellows Falls, Saxtons River, Rockingham, Cambridgeport and Bartonsville, 1753-1907, with Family Genealogies, pg 582, by Lyman Simpson Hayes; print, Bellows Falls, VT . 1907 (Google Books): ATKINSON. John, son of William, b. Kirby Moorside [Kirkbymoorside], Yorkshire, England, 1742, came to Boston in 1771, engaged in the Mercantile business until abt 1777, when he returned to England, living at London and Kirby Moorside [Kirkbymoorside] until the latter part of 1777. He then rem. to New York and was a promiennt and prosperous merchant in that city until June 4, 1819 when he removed to B[ellows] F[alls] and res. in what was then known as the "Mansion House", now owned by the estate of Mrs. Frances Williams on the north corner of Henry and Westminster streets... He m. Dec. 2, 1773, Elizabeth, dau. of Ebenezer and Elizabeth (Green) Storer, b. Boston, Mass., Feb. 23, 1756, d. B. F., Sept. 29, 1829. He d. B. F. Aug. 11, 1823. Children.
ix. Mary Ann, b. N. Y., Nov. 2, 1787; m[1. Samuel Cary m2.] Col. Joseph May; she d. Boston, Jan. 27, 1839.

Note: There is not record of Samuel Jr's burial, but most likely was interred with his brother. There is notation in some of the books that he was 12 years at time of death, so he may have been close to turning 12 and was b. 1813. James Freeman Cary's orig burial rec states he was possibly interred at King's Chapel, but then there are quotations under Samuel Eliot's tomb at Granary and then the carriers recs state he was interred at Trinity. None of this is making sense unless he had to go to Trinity for holding if there was a problem; Trinity did do this often. Neither child is on the re-interment burials at Mount Auburn so I'm pretty sure they were not interred there.
