GORDO Barbara "Penny" Pennington, age 81, of Gordo, died March 24, 2013 at her home. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2013 at the Gordo City Cemetery with Rev. Dan Kilgore officiating and Skelton Funeral Home directing. A celebration of her life will be held at Studio 150, 2nd Ave. NW, Gordo following services.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Victoria Pennington and Wilmer Pennington; her brothers, Wade, Ward, and Gray Pennington, and a nephew, Michael Bean.
Survivors include lifelong friend, Opal Bridges; her sisters, Wanda Bean (Alan) and Jenny Beckham (Larry) of Tuscaloosa; her sisters-in-law, Nancy W. Pennington of Charlotte, N.C., and Nancy R. Pennington of Tuscaloosa.
