Married Miss Alabama Holmes on December 29, 1842 in Morgan County.
They had eight children.
Four children survived him: James H. Bingman, Stephen E. Bingman, Elisha Bingman, and Mrs. Ellen Stockton.
Funeral services were held Sunday, June 10, 1900 at Hebron Church.
