Rev. Louie Patrick Lewis, age 59, of Chipley, passed away March 25 in the Gulf Coast Medical Center in Panama City.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, a former pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church in Vernon, and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 30, at Jerusalem Baptist Church in Chipley with Rev. Price Wilson (pastor), Rev. Malcolm Nelson and Supt. David Woods, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Southside Cemetery in Chipley with Cooper Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bertha Lewis of Chipley; four children: Nicole Lewis, Minister Patrick R. Lewis, both of Chipley, Tyrone Lewis (Faye) of Columbia, SC, and Shanae Boston of Panama City; step-children: Danny Curry (Pam) of Chipley, Jacqueline Crawford of Oklahoma, Shelanda Hardrick, Christopher Hardrick, Phillip Hardrick, all of Chipley, Samantha Beachum (Charles) of Noma, Paul, Roy and La Edward Hardrick, all of Chipley; sister, Royce Douglas of Chipley; brother, Thomas Larry Lewis (Marion) of Atlanta, Georgia; mother-in-law, Mrs. Mary Lee Robinson; and many other grandchildren, relatives and friends.
The remains will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to service with Cooper Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
