PARENTS:
Loyd Earl Duncan 1929 – 2003
Gloria Ann Byrd (living)

Dana Duncan, 47, of Big Spring, died on Saturday, December 24, 20005 at his residence. He had a heart attack and died in his sleep, peacefully.

Dana graduated from Big Springs High School. He served in the United States Air Force from 1976 to 1978.

For a while he and his brother, Andy were on the rodeo circuit, riding bucking broncs and bulls. He had to quit the circuit, as one bad fall hurt his back. He then started remodeling houses, as his own busiess.

Dana had moved to Big Springs from Midland in early 2005. He worked as an engineering technician at TexaStone Company. He loved his job and all the people he worked with, and for, but the love of his life was his daughter, Kaley, and his entire being was to guide her into being all she could be. Kaley was his best friend since her birth. He was a Baptist and a Mason.

Dana had a love of life, and a great sense of humor. He had an adventurous spirit, and was always trying something new. He and his brother Andy were very close, almost like twins. He was a very kind and loving person, who was loved by all his family, close, and extended to us cousins. He was the first of us first cousins to leave this earth, and we were devistated. He had even shaved his head shortly before he died, in respect for a dear friend who had cancer and was undergoing chemo. That was Dana!

His Duncan Uncles, Leonard, Linuel and Gayle, adored him, as did all of us cousins!

Dana's daughter, Kaley, was the apple of his eye, and the light in his life! They talked to each other on the phone daily when she wasn't with him. I know that his biggest regret would be leaving his precious daughter here. He was so proud of how she took to horseback riding, and was a natural like he was.

Survivors include his daughter, Kaley Duncan of Big Spring; brother, Andy Duncan and sister-in-law, Kathy, of Oregon; his step-brother, Michael Duncan. His mother and step-father, Gloria and Bobby McDonald of Big Spring; and another step-brother, Rob McDonald of Highland Village. Also surviving are his ex-wives, Lara J. Crawford, and Dionne Fletcher Pledjer.

Dana was preceeded in death by his father, Loyd Earl Duncan, and his paternal grandparents, Beulah and Carl Duncan, and maternal grandparents Clifford (PeeWee) and Elina Byrd.

Dana was cremated. Buried with Military honors.
