Mr. Norris Gene Cook, Sr., age 68, of Oxford, died Monday, August 28, 2006. Mr. Cook was born in Atlanta, Georgia on June 10, 1938 to the late John Cook and Dovie Bearden Cook, his wife, Peggy Joyce Hardy Cook, precededes him in death. Mr. Cook worked as a truck driver for 32 years for Gold Star Trucking Company. He enjoyed fishing, good jokes and loved animals... The family will receive friends at Wheeler Funeral Home tonight from 6-8 PM. The funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, August 31, 2006 in the Chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home. interment will follow at Lawnwood Memorial Park. Wheeler Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
