Rites Held For 103-Year-Old Elbert Aistrop

Elbert (Uncle Bud) Aistrop, 103, died Sunday, April 30 at Katie Jane Memorial Home.
Aistrop, born Nov. 1, 1868, had been a resident of Katie Jane since April 5, 1961. In recent years he had been recognized by President Richard Nixon, Gov. Warren E. Hearnes and Congressman William Hungate. Born south of Foristell, he had lived in this area all his lifetime.
He was the son of John and Ophelia Aistrop. A niece, Mrs. John Carter, lives in Wright City. Burial was in the Wright City Cemetery.

Ashby Elbert Aistrop, 103, better known as Unlce Bud, died April 30. He was born November 1, 1868 to John and Ophelia Edwards Aistrop, south of Wright City.
He lived several years in Oregon and California and returned to Missouri in June of 1932. Here he lived with his nephew and nieces until April of 1961 when he entered the Katie Jane Memorial Home of Warrenton.
He is survived by one nephew, John Carter; two nieces, Mrs. Irvin Seaton and Mrs. Grace Meier; and several nieces in the state of Florida.
Funeral services were held in Nieburg's Chapel in Wright City, Mo. Tuesday, May 2 with Rev. Warner Strick officiating.
Interment was in the Wright City Cemetery.
