Jean L. Derby, 79 of Nimitz, died at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday evening December 5, 2007 at his home following a long illness.
Born May 9, 1928 in Lincoln, Nebraska he was the son of the late Benjamin & Camilla Jewell Derby.
Mr. Derby was retired the the United States Army Corps of Engineers with 30 years of service.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Ruth Nist Derby. One daughter, Karen Quesenberry & husband David of Hinton. One grandsons, Len Hanger of Hinton. One sister, Patricia Derby of Klamath Falls, Oregon.
At Mr. Derby's request, the body has been cremated and there will be no service.
