Research from cousin and fellow great-granddaughter, KLC, Mrs. Allen's full name is Mary Amanda "Polly" Camp Allen. Mrs. Allen was born in North Carolina. She moved to Texas with her husband, William S. Allen. According to Census records, the her birth year is incorrect. We believe she was born in 1840.
We also believe that her mother, Suzanna Margaret Earl Camp, is also buried here as close inspection shows that there are indeed three graves. There are three foot stones here, but two have been placed together out of sheer unknowning.
