Carla Sue (Tapp) Richardson, 76, of Anderson, passed away on March 27, 2013 at Saint Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital Anderson following extended illness.

She was born November 17, 1936 in Henderson, Kentucky to Charles and Waulene Tapp.

Carla worked for Delco-Remy Division of General Motors and retired after 42 years of service. After retirement, Carla gave back to the Anderson community by volunteering at the Anderson Public Library and Paramount Theatre.

She loved horseback riding, bowling, playing cards and Farkle, and going to the casinos with her family and friends. Her family was her pride and joy! Carla loved supporting and attending all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren's activities as well as taking them on vacations. Her spunk, quick wit, strength, and wonderful smile could light up a room.

Carla was a member of the U.A.W. Breakfast Club and enjoyed spending time with her special friends, the Stupples family.

She is survived by her daughters, Pamela Guthrie of Anderson, Lucinda (Kenny) Grider of Wilkinson, and Kim Sells of Pendleton; grandchildren, Alivia (Jared) Danilson of Indianapolis, Rachel (Chad) Brown of Wilkinson, Regina Grider of Greenfield, Shasta (Jerod) Decker of Anderson, and Riley (Amber) Guthrie of Anderson; great-grandchildren, Sahara, Jaden, MaKayla, Brianna, Khloee, Akilah, Rylie, Ainsley, Kailee, Boe, and Bentley; she is also survived by her beloved dogs, Dandee and Noodles.

Carla is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Waulene Tapp, Kenneth Conner, Bob Richardson, and Don Bernard.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Mares, Brandon, Dr. Molina and Dr. Elliott, the staff of St. Vincent's Anderson Regional Hospital on the 6th floor and the I.C.U., CNA's, Respiratory Techs, Nurses, the AC Clinic/St. Vincent's, and the Pendleton Medical Lab.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 30, 2013 from 11:00-1:00pm at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd St., Anderson.
