Joseph E. St. Jean, 69, of 7 Hampden St., retired employee of Columbia Manufacturing Co., died Thursday at home. He retired in 1980 after 41 years of service.
A lifelong resident of Westfield, he was a 1935 graduate of Westfield Vocational High School. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church and an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the African and European Theaters.
He leaves his wife of 46 years, the former Julianna H. Babinski; three sons, John and Robert both of Westfield and Ronald of Santa Clara, Calif., and three grandchildren.
