Marion & Hattie must have left Nancy soon after they were married, as their first son Hilbert, was born in 1910 in LeRoy, McLean County, Illinois. One more son, Harley, was born in Illinois, then they traveled to American Falls, Idaho with brothers George & Sam Dalton(and families), where they had the next four children. All three families then returned to South Dakota, where Marion & Hattie stayed.

Word was received Sunday evening of the accidental death of Howard Dalton, 54, of Littleton, Colorado, a Highmore native. Survivors include his wife the former Margaret Grey and two brothers, Harley and Hilbert Dalton, of Highmore.
