Brenda Faye Newman Carroll, 63, of Athens, died Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at her residence.
A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was a daughter of the late Virgil Newman and Katherine Tilley Wilcox Newman and was preceded in death by her husband, David Leroy Carroll; and one son, David Allen Carroll. She was of the Holiness faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Watson and Gena Monroe and her fiancé, Bill Braden, all of Athens; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Evelyn Martin and Hazel and Johnny York, all of Athens; one brother, Steve Newman of Athens; and two nephews, Rick and Cody Martin.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Cedar Grove Cemetery with Fr. Hendree Harrison officiating.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
