LYONS - Anthony "Tony" Stirpe, 90, passed away on Sunday (March 24, 2013) at Clifton-Springs Hospital. Friends may call on Wednesday (March 28) from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Boeheim-Pusateri Funeral Home, 77 William St, Lyons. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday (March 29) at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker, Lyons. Entombment will be at St. John's Cemetery, Clyde immediately following. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph the Worker Church, Lyons.

Tony was born February 7, 1923 in Syracuse, N.Y., son of Dominick and Mary (Lisi) Stirpe. He worked as a chef at the Newark Developmental Center. He was an active member of St. Joseph the Worker Church, American Legion of Lyons and the Knights of Columbus. Tony served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII in England and Germany as military police.



He is survived by his loving wife, Ann; son, Anthony of Phoenix Ariz.; three grandchildren, Jennifer (Russ) Sanders, Natalie (Quinn) Johnson, Anthony (Deirdre) Stirpe; great-grandchildren, Christian, Lucas and Sydney Sanders, Cooper and Lincoln Johnson; sister, Louise Bertino of Florida; brother, Peter (Donna) Stirpe of Lyons and several nieces and nephews.



He was predeceased by his first wife, Connie Ward; brothers, Nick, Albert and Michael; sisters, Anita Dagel and Jenny Garafolo
