CONNELL –ANN C. BECK, 84, formerly of 603 William St., Towanda, Pa. died Thursday, March 17, 2005, at Memorial Hospital in Towanda. She was born in Little Meadows, Pa., on June 18, 1920 the daughter of Leo and Catherine Harrigan Connell.

She worked as a receptionist and retired from Guthrie Clinic in Sayre. She was a member of the Church of Epiphany in Sayre and Altar and Rosary Society. She was a graduate of Warren Center schools.

She was predeceased by; her parents, her husband, Michael J. Beck; a daughter, Jean Ann Beck Poletto; brothers, Jim, Joe, Con and Ed Connell; and sisters, Nora Viznik, Helen Taylor and Mary Connell.

She is survived by: daughters, Jane Hoagland of Sayre and Peggy Poletto of Sayre; grandchildren, Christopher Hoagland of Gulfport, Miss, Jeremy Poletto of State College, Pa., Kelly Schrader of Athens and Matthew Schrader of Sayre; sister, Catherine Hutchinson of Cadis, Pa.; a good friend Mary Lou Spencer of Sayre; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to call Sunday, March 20, 2005, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Blauvelt Funeral Home, 126 N. Elmer Ave., Sayre. A biblical wake service will be held Sunday. A prayer service will be held Monday, March 21, at 9 a.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the Church of the Epiphany, Sayre. Mass cards will be available at the funeral home. Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens. The family will provide flowers. Those kindly wishing to make memorial contributions in Mrs. Beck's name may do so to the Epiphany School, Stevenson St., Sayre, Pa. or the Sayre Public Library, 122 S. Elmer Ave., Sayre, Pa. –Towanda Daily Review.
