Cathy Hunt, 58, of 115 Lumbee Ave., departed this life on June 10, 2011, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center.
The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Tabernacle Baptist Church, the Revs. Henry Oxendine, Roosevelt Scott and Chris Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the New Point Baptist Church Cemetery.
She was born April 15, 1953, to the late John Douglas and Eunice Locklear.
Sister Cathy was a dedicated member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife for 37 years, mother, sister and friend.
In addition to her parents, Cathy was preceded in death by two brothers, John Allen and Claudie Douglas Locklear; and a sister, Gloria Locklear.
Sister Cathy is survived by her husband, Lacy Jack Hunt "Bill"; her son, Christopher Douglas Hunt; her daughter, Heather Blackburn of Lumberton; two grandsons, Zachary Hunt and Secotah Hunt; and two granddaughters, Hailey Blackburn and Sekiya Hunt.
She is survived by two brothers, Lester Locklear (Connie) of Pembroke, Leander Locklear (Angela) of Lumberton; five sisters, Alice Hunt (Buddy) of Concord, Cynthia Martin of Indian Trail, Christine Hardin (Rondy) of Lumberton, Deanna Cummings (William) of Pembroke, and Rosa Lee Locklear (Roger) of Lumberton; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who loved her very much.
