"Jennie Garriott McCullough Dead
Mrs. Jennie Garriott McCullough died at the home of her husband, Thos. McCullough, at Emporia Kansas, Friday, and her remains were brought here for burial in the Scottsburg Cememtery. She will be pleasantly remembered here by many former students and firends where she spent a greater part of her life. She was a sister of the late Francis M Farriott, father of Epstine Farriott and Mrs. George G Watson, of Jeffersonville also of the late Bruce Garriott, father of Lee Farriott, Mrs. J. A Ritter and Mrs. Bernie Carter. Mrs. McCullough taught school in Scott and Washington counties for many years, before her marriage to her first husband, Lee Wilson. She taught here after his death until her marriage to Thompson McCulough, of Emporia, Kansas, where they resided until hear death. Mr. McCullough is also a former Scott Countian, and a brother of the late John McCullough and James McCullough, and of Mrs. Rober W Gamble, Mrs. O. O. Hazzard and Mrs. Mary E. Weir.
Mrs. McCullogh's body accompanied by her husband, arrived in New Albany Sunday morning, and was brought here to the residence of Mrs. Pearl McClain by Undertakers Vest & Littell. The funeral was held at the M. E. church a 3 P.M. Sunday, Rev. J H Allen former pastor here, now preaching in New Albany, preaching the funeral."
