Sandra Dawn Childers, 66, of Rush, passed away Wednesday morning, March 27, 2013, at her residence.
She was born September 21, 1946, in Ashland, KY., a daughter of the late Mitchell Dixon, Jr., and Juanita McGlothlin Dixon.
Sandy was a member of East Fork United Methodist Church, a 1964 graduate of Boyd County High School and co-owner of Childers Nursery. She was also the former owner of Prichard House of Gifts.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Joseph Edward "Ed" Childers, II, of Rush, a son, Joseph Hampton Childers and wife, Sherri of Catlettsburg, daughter, Rebecca Lynn Childers Lynch and husband Michael, of Rush, brother, Michael Lee Dixon and wife Victoria of Rush, grandchildren, Maegen Eugene and husband, Whithler, Loran Elizabeth Lynch, Karli Jo Childers and Isaiah Christian Lynch.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 29, 2013, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East, with Pastor Richard Gindlesperger officiating.
