Janice Dean Kelley, age 81, of Marshall, Arkansas passed from this life on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Conway Regional Hospital in Conway, Arkansas. She was born in Marshall on March 31, 1931 to Offie Mathis and Samantha (Smith) Mathis.

Janice was of the Presbyterian faith. She was a strong woman of faith and as her health failed and she could no longer attend services she enjoyed watching Joel Olsteen on television. She worked as a hairdresser for many years then she helped her husband Joe run their service station and work on their farm. Janice enjoyed watching the Razorbacks and her grandchildren play ball. For the past few years her grandsons have been the center of her world. She also enjoyed working word search puzzles and was a wonderful cook. Janice treated her friends as family and loved to spend time visiting and talking with them. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Okla Mathis, Vernell (Mathis) Campbell and Jonnie (Mathis) Grinder; and five brothers, Ronald Mathis, Don Mathis, Taft Mathis, Boone Mathis and Marteen Mathis.

Survivors include her husband of almost 52 years, Joe Kelley of the home; daughter, Carla Kelley of Conway; son, Matthew Kelley of Marshall; three grandchildren, Jake Kelley, Zachary Kelley and Parker Kelley, all of Marshall; one brother, Morris Dale Mathis and wife Juanita of Harrison; sister-in-law, Ellen Vanderjet; and step-daughter, Terry Kelley of Texarkana, TX.

Funeral Services for Janice will be 2:00 PM Friday, March 29, 2013 at Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Don Campbell officiating. Visitation will be 12:00 till 2:00 PM preceding the service. Burial will be in Canaan Cemetery in Marshall.

Pallbearers will be Jake Kelley, Zachary Kelley, Ricky Mathis, Randy Mathis, Larry Campbell and Jeff Mathis.

Honorary pallbearers will be Parker Kelley, Larry West, Joe Grinder and Tom Mathis.
