Laura was born in Fresno on May 1, 1929 to John and Inez Buskett. She grew up in Fresno, attending Fresno High and Fresno City College. She married Verlin Pitts in 1953. Verlin preceded her in death in 1997.
Laura moved to Visalia 10 years ago. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed visiting with her neighbors. She took pride in her family and enjoyed many trips to Santa Cruz to visit her granddaughters and their families.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst Funeral Home on Friday, March 15, 2013 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 p.m.
A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Fresno Memorial Gardens at 10:00 a.m.
