Mrs Margaret Weir, 87, widow of the late Hiram W Weir and one of the most highly respected women of the county, died at 7:30 o'clock last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs Sherman Stephenson, one mile north of Reed Station. after a ten-day illness.
Mrs Weir had been a resident of Delaware County for eighty-two years, coming here when she was five years of age from Portsmouth, Ohio. She had lived on one farm for more than fifty years.
She is survived by the following children; P. W. Weir, Mrs John W O'day, and Mrs Stephenson, all of Delaware County, and Mrs Brandt Myers of Lockwood, Cal. Omar G. Weir, Muncie attorney is a grandson. Funeral services will be heldat 2:30 o'clockSunday afternoon at the Normal City U.B. Church. Interment will be made in Beech Grove, where the body will be laid at the side of her husband, who died in 1901
