Iris (Terry) Sanders, age 88 of Kempner, Texas died Monday March 25, 2013 at the Hill Country Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Copperas Cove. Iris was born March 12, 1925 in Avery, Texas the daughter of Herman Terry and Irene (Newman) Terry. Iris was a teacher. She taught in San Antonio for many years before moving to Kempner in 2001. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Kempner, and a member of the Woman's Missionary Union. Iris enjoyed reading, quilting, and doing yard work.

Survivors include daughter, Betty Robinson and husband Johnny of Kempner Sister, Ann Terry of Metairie, Louisiana Grandson, Derek Robinson 2 great-grandchildren; Kayleigh Beaver and Kaleb Beaver

Funeral service for Ms. Sanders will be held on Thursday March 28, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Kempner. There will be a visitation Wednesday March 27, 2013 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Kempner Cemetery.

Iris was preceded in death by her sister, Juanita Ward, and her granddaughter, Michele.
