Laura W. Buck, age 91, died on Jan. 3, 1999, at St. Luke's Memorial Hospital Center, following a brief illness.
She was born in Van Etten, N.Y., the daughter of Augustus and Miriam Clark Woernley. She married Harry Buck in 1949. Mr. Buck died in 1968. She was a graduate of the Albany State Teacher's College and taught math in Waterville and Sauquoit schools.
She leaves a sister, Ruth, in Orlando, FL, and many nieces and nephews, especially acknowledging Richard Brownell, of Sauquoit, and Michael Kochanowski, of Waterville. She was predeceased by a sister [Anna] and two brothers. [Raymond and Laurence.]
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, January 6, 1999, at the Francis W. Fisk Funeral Home, Chadwicks. Friends may call one hour prior to the time of the funeral. There are no other calling hours. Interment will be in the Sauquoit Valley Cemetery in the spring.
