Helen Barton Gass age 82 of Hillsboro, died early Saturday, July 20, 2002 at her residence. She was born April 27, 1920 in Hillsboro, Ohio the daughter of the late Joseph V. and Ethel B. (Arledge) Davis. She was a member of the Hillsboro First United Methodist Church and the Highland County Quilt Club. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, of Hillsboro, her daughter and son-in-law, of Hillsboro, five grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry E. Barton on March 14, 1983, her second husband, Homer E. Gass on September 8, 1991 and by her brother, Earl Thomas Davis. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Rev. Harold Braley will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
