Mrs. Maysie Adams, 83, of the Franklin community, passed away Friday evening, January 19 at Carlinville Arera Hospital where she had been a patient for two weeks.
She was born near Franklin, December 13, 1878, a daughter of Samuel and Rhoda Jane Tapscott Zachary. She married Lee Adams who preceded her in death in 1946.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mildred Large of Nilwood; one son, Littleton of Franklin; one step-daughter, Mrs. Pearl File of Waverly; two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Gibson of Jacksonville and Mrs. Reuben Bates of Waverly; three brothers, Marion Zachary of Alexander; Arthur of St. Louis and Harold of Winchester as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at the Neece Funeral Home here Tuesday afternoon with Rev. John Muir officiating.
Burial was in Waverly East Cemetery.
