James Cook 89, former county resident, died last week in a Chicago hospital.
Funeral services were held this morning at St. Ito's church in Chicago. The body is to be brought to Manitowoc late today and burial will be in St. Isadore's cemetery, Osman.
Mr. Cook was born in Vermont and accompanied his parents to Manitowoc when a boy. Mr. Cook disposed of the family farm in 1906 and moved to Chicago where he was employed by the Chicago surface lines, retiring in 1929. He never married and is the last member of his family.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
