Bill Clayton, 59 of 204 S. Fair, Marion died at 8:55 pm December 9, 1985 at Marion Memorial Hospital. He was a retired coal miner and was a Marine veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ.
He was born November 15, 1926 in Saline County to Theodore Clayton and Ada Clayton who died in March. He married Delores Boester July 7, 1962 in Carterville and she survives. Survivors include his wife and father and two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Beth Ann) Taylor of Marion and Pamela Lynn Clayton of Marion. Funeral home is Mitchell-Hughes and burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
