He married first to Clara Gingras on Jan 17, 1900, St. Patrice Church in Magog Quebec Canada, she was the daughter of Treffle and Lumina Gingras. She was born in 1881 and died between 1902-1904 probably Magog. (They had three children Zeleda, Aurore Dorilla and Arthur Treffle, all of which died between 1901-1903).
Arthur removed from Magog and went to Burlington, Vermont, where met and married Rose Delima Mercier on July 15, 1905. They had 10 children, 6 of which grew to adulthood.

Obit:
Arthur H Destromp, 74, of North Ave. died yesterday morning in a local hospital after a long illness.
Mr Destromp was a member of St. Mark's Church.
He is survived by his wife, the former Rose Delima Mercier; four daughters, Mrs George D Desrosier of Windsor Locks Conn., Mrs Henry Chase of East Hartford, Conn., Mrs. Orie Barkyoumb of Hartford Conn and Miss Rosemay Destromp of Burlington; two sons, Harry of Jericho and Raymond of Hartford Conn. 11 Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Until the hour of the funeral the body will remain at the A. Boucher and son Funeral Home, 169 North Street. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning in St. Mark's Church.
Interment will follow in the New Mt Calvary Cemetery. Rene G Boucher in Charge of arrangements.
