Dale Edward Barrett, 94, of Muncie, passed away peacefully on Friday at the Waters of Yorktown, IN. He was born in Ossian, IN, to the late Noah and Emma (Eschbacher) Barrett.

Dale lived in Lodi, OH as a child and moved to Parkerburg, WV where he graduated from high school. From there he moved to Fort Wayne where he married Frances (Fran) June Leisure and began a family.

After moving to Muncie, he went into the automobile business, both retail and wholesale. He retired in the 1980's but continued to work part-time for Adsit Company.

Dale and Fran loved to travel, spending their winter sin Florida and Mexico.

His parents; his loving wife, Fran; a sister; four brothers, and a granddaughter preceded him in death.


Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Garden View Funeral Home, Muncie. Rev. Rodney Eiler of Mount Olive Community Church will officiate. Burial will take place in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home.
