Julie Kay Jordan, 60, of Murrysville, died unexpectedly Sunday, March 24, 2013, at her home. Julie was born Feb. 11, 1953, in Connellsville, a daughter of the late Ralph V. and Opal V. Jordan. She was a graduate of Connellsville High School and the Shadyside Hospital School of Nursing. She also graduated from LaRoche College with a BSN degree and Duquesne University with her MSN degree. Julie worked as a registered nurse for all of her 30-year career. Julie enjoyed going to casinos, teaching nursing students, her pet rabbits and spending time with her family and friends, especially the birthday celebrations at Jioio's. Surviving is Julie's best friend and loving partner of 36 years, Susan Tomsic. Julie is also survived by her loving sister, Barbara (Tom) Visocky, and was preceded in death by sisters, Doris Arison and Theresa DeHainaut. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Marcella "Marcy" Kirkland for your dedicated and loving care for Julie. You were an answer to our prayers at just the right time, and we couldn't have done it without you. Services will be private. An inurnment will take place at Oak Spring Cemetery in Canonsburg, at a later date.
