Mrs. Lulu May Loomis, 64, died Jan 11 Lewis Co General hospital, Lowville. Services were held Tuesday with the body was placed in the vault of the Gould Memorial chapel until spring when burial will be made in Port Leyden cemetery.
Mrs. Loomis was born Apr 19, 1883 in Port Leyden; the daughter of the late Horace Lynn and Adah Clay Wilcox. She married James Clark Loomis Oct. 10, 1905. Mr Loomis died Jan 1 1939. A member of St. Mark's Episcopal church and its Guild, the Bethany Class; she also belonged to the Dewey Chapter. No. 420 O.E.S. the Ever Ready Circle of King's Daughters and the Loyal Hearts. Surviving Mrs. Loomis are three children: a daughter, Mrs. Clifford Graham, Fort Plain; two sons, Leonard W. and Roderick L. both of Port Leyden; a brother A. Ray Wilcox.
