Robert Turner was born in Tell City, IN and came to Battle Creek, MI in 1918. He worked at the Battle Creek Sanitarium and later operated Parking Lots on Jackson Street for 25 years. He owned a home on Van Buren Street that later became the site of the Battle Creek Enquirer & News. He and wife Emma celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Christmas day 1955 before his death.
