MRS. BERTIE SMITH April 23, 1931 - March 23, 2013
Funeral services for Mrs. Roberta "Bertie" Smith of the Highland Mountain Community in Rickman will be conducted at 12 noon, Tuesday, March 26, 2013 from the Chapel of Speck Funeral Home, in Livingston, with Bro. Rick Lacy & Bro. Nolan Cantrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Overton County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 4-9 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m.

Mrs. Smith died Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born in Overton County to the late Frances Marion & Willie Mae Bilbrey Nolen. She was a factory worker and farmer.

She was a member of the Harris Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband: McCoy Smith, a daughter: Brenda Carol Melton, 2 sisters: Hazel Whiteaker, & Vestie Nolen, 2 brothers: Denver Nolen & Wilber Nolen.

Pallbearers to serve are: Tiffany Krantz, Gary Harris, Ronald Boles, Tommy Ray, Roy Pennington, & David Robbins.
