Gordon Lee Paul, age 72, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Saturday, March 23, 2013. He was born on Tuesday, July 9, 1940, in Ottawa, the son of Merle and Eva (Young) Paul.
Gordon was a lifelong resident of Ottawa.
He graduated from Hot Springs High School, Hot Springs, Arkansas, with the class of 1958.
On June 4, 1978 Gordon was united in marriage with Audean McKinzie in Lane, Kansas. She survives of the home. He was previously married to Juanita Hackett. They were later divorced.
He is survived by his Wife – Audean Paul of the home; Son – Darrin Paul and his wife Tracie of Bothell, Washington; Daughter – Amanda Paul of Ottawa; Grandchildren – Identical twins, Hannah and Hailie Paul of Bothell, Washington and aSister – Mauritta Marconette and her husband Lee of Ottawa
He is preceded in death by his Parents – Merle and Eva Paul and a Brother – Merle Paul, Jr.
Gordon was a lifelong trucking company owner and entrepreneur. He owned and operated Gordon Paul Trucking and later formed Dependable Trans Inc. of Ottawa. He was a member of the Ottawa First United Presbyterian Church. SERVICES: Funeral Services will be held at Dengel & Son Mortuary, 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 27, 2013. IN STATE: Friends may pay their respects to Mr. Paul at Dengel & Son Mortuary after 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, to the service hour where the family will meet with friends from 6:30 to 7:30 P.M. Tuesday.
