Nicolas Carter Brown Diary:
2 June 1867, Sunday; "To sister Miss Townsend both well Walsingham."
13 July 1889, To Sister Violetta Townsends [--] Wedding [---] paid my annuity due in December. [I don't know who's wedding this is.]
[NCB diary; Thur. 16 Nov. 1899, To Walsingham after Sister Mrs. Townsand; 17th Come home bring Sister with me fare 75"] It appears that she stayed until at least the 13th of March 1900 when Nicholas took her to Brownsville to visit Brother Williams.

Edna (Young) Johnson remembers," Aunt Letty [Violetta] seemed very old, wore a small lace cap and smoked a corn cob pipe." (Memoirs)
