A native of Avery County, he was born August 3, 1962.
Along with his parents, Danny was preceded in death by his brother, Galan Lynn McGuire.
Danny has left to cherish his memory his daughter, Crystal Passmore and husband Andrew of Morganton; granddaughters, Lacee and Raylee; step-son, Curtis Walker and wife Faith of Morganton; sisters, Kathy M. Horney and husband Leroy of Morganton, Martha Gwyn and husband Howard of Dallas, NC; brothers, Dean McGuire and wife Earline of Banner Elk, Michael McGuire and companion Frances Porter of Banner Elk, Gerald McGuire and wife Lisa of Roan Mtn., TN.; very special friend and former wife of 23 years, Wanda McGuire of Morganton.
Funeral services were conducted at Grandfather Chapel.
