Born in Jonesboro, Grissom lived in Harrisburg before moving to Jonesboro in 1987. She was a 1997 graduate of Jonesboro High School and worked as a receptionist for Medical Doctors offices. She later served as a paraprofessional in the Jonesboro Visual and Performing Arts Magnet School on Hillcrest Drive.
Grissom was a member of Forest Home Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed antiquing especially collecting old lanterns. She enjoyed swimming and camping at the lake and was preceded in death by a brother, Shawn Winningham.
Survivors include a son, Travis Grissom IV, of Jonesboro; her mother and step father, Donna and Allen Harness of Jonesboro; her father and step mother, Robbie and Nina Winningham of Harrisburg; four sisters, Leslie Cowles (Danny), Melanie Winningham and Terri Kane (Adam), all of Jonesboro and Ashley Hall (Chris) of Newport News, Va.; one brother, Cory Harness (Jennifer) of Trumann; aunts and uncles, Wanda and Stanley Long and Scott and Greye Winningham, all of Jonesboro, Beatrice Winningham Gullia and Vickie Winningham, both of Harrisburg, Perry and Brenda Harness of Trumann and Donnie and Terry Harness of Lebanon, Tenn.; and a grandfather, Herschel Harness of Jonesboro.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Edward Pruett officiating.
Burial will follow in Harrisburg Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers include Bradley DeVries, Willis McCuiston, Cory Harness, Chris Hall, Stephen Long and Brian "Diuz" Foster.
Honorary pallbearers include Donny Curtner, Mark Johnson, Wade Carter, Donnie Ray Winningham, Kyle Best and Tim Walker.
