Paula was born in Germany, she met her husband Jack Gilbert Harper when he was stationed in Germany in the early 1950's. They married and Paula came home to the United States with Jack and became a U S citizen. They lived in various places, and had a house in North Carolina. They spent their later years in Wheaton,Il. Jack and Paula had two sons. Jack was Special Forces U S Army and spent a lot of time away from home, overseas. Paula was a homemaker and also worked at a local hospital after her sons were grown. Paula predeceased her husband Jack by three years. Paula died 7 February, 2005 of cancer. Paula and Jack were married for over 50 years. Jack sorely missed his wife and followed her a few years later. Her ashes will be scattered in Germany.
