Saratoga Springs—Miss Lois E. Mosher 18, of 148 Nelson Avenue and Miss Helen Mary McNeil, 16 of 12 Van Dorn Street, were killed last evening [23 Oct] by a D & H train as they mingled with the thousands at the railroad depot to bid Company L good-bye. The train No. 1026, came into the station without stopping, scattering hundreds from its path, at approximately 5:40 as dusk was falling. Others were injured.
MIss Mosher, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lanson W. Mosher, who operates the trolley station luncheon room, was an honor graduate of Saratoga Springs High School and was there taking a post graduate course. She was a popular young Saratogian, active in the Daughters of the Eastern Star. In addition to the parents, two sisters, Miss Dorothy C. Mosher of this city and Miss Ruth Mosher of Albany, survive. The body was taken to Simone Funeral Home.
