Brittany Dawn BAKER, 16, of Huntingdon, died April 21, 2004, at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon, after a very brief illness with cancer. She was born Oct. 1, 1987, at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, the daughter of the late David Edgar Baker and Lee Ann Mellott who survives at home. Also surviving are a brother, Brandon Charles Mellott-Emory, and two sisters, Saphire Ann Baker and Samantha Nicole DeArmitt, all at home. Her maternal grandmother and great-grandfather, Verlee J. (Haupt) Mellott and Charles W. Haupt, both of Huntingdon, and her paternal grandmother, Helen L. (Himes) Baker, also of Huntingdon, survive, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Harrison Eugene Mellott, her maternal great-grandmother, Sarah Jane (Davis) Haupt, and paternal grandfather, Donald Eugene Baker Sr. Miss Baker was of the Free Methodist faith. She was a student of the Huntingdon County Career and Technology Center in the Horticulture Department and she was a sophomore at Huntingdon area High School with the Class of 2006. She loved working with flowers and collecting bears. Miss Baker was a lifetime resident of Huntingdon. A funeral service will be held April 24, at the Cutright-Speck Funeral
Home, Huntingdon. The Rev. Dr. Timothy Weitkamp will officiate.Interment will be made at Riverview Cemetery, Huntingdon
