Mr. Bartlett earned a master's degree in family counseling from the University of Illinois at Springfield. He was a counselor at Triangle Center for many years. He worked at Wells Center in Jacksonville and Montgomery Mental Health Center. He was a member of Who's Who Among American College and University Students from 1991-92 and Cathedral Church of St. Paul. He also attended St. Luke's Episcopal Church, where he was a lay Eucharistic minister.
Survivors: a son, Kyle (wife, Christine) Bartlett of Springfield; a stepdaughter, Brianne Mulry of Greenview; two grandchildren; mother, Pauline Bloyd of Pittsfield; a sister, Deborah Bartlett of Pittsfield; a brother, Kelly Bartlett of Palmyra, Mo.; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services held at Cathedral Church of St. Paul with the Very Rev. Warren Raasch and the Rev. Shawn Denney officiating. Burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
