Jessie Bethel Baker was born
September 13, 1914 in Festus,
Missouri, to Jess and Anna
(McMullen) Baker. The family
later relocated to the Nemaha
area, where Bethel graduated
from high school in 1932.
Bethel loved her family and
never tired of their company.
She was a faithful member of
the Methodist Church in
Nemaha, where she enjoyed
attending all the various church,
functions and never missed
church services. She liked to eat
out and shop at the Dollar Store.
Survivors include her two
daughters: Carolyn Cook of Des
Moines and Marilyn (Thomas)
Walton of Inverness, III.;
grandchildren: Matthew Walton,
Kimberly Zalinski, Chris
Snider, Clint Snider, Tracy
Snider and Tonia Snider; greatgranddaughter,
Hannah Lillian
Zalinski; extended family and
friends.
Bethel was preceded in death
by her parents.
