Ross Luther Miller, 77, of Decatur, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 24, 2013, at Athens Regional Medical Center.
He was a member of Decatur First Baptist Church and was a member and helped with charity work with the AMVETS Auxiliary. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ross and Stella Davis Miller; his wife, June Miller; and one daughter, Viki Miller.
Survivors include two sons, Steven Ross Miller of Spring City, and Jeff Miller of Decatur; one daughter and son-in-law, Gayla and Bill Dixon of Athens; one half-brother, Victor Davis of Johnson City; one sister and brother-in-law, Betty Ross Scroggs and Cletus of Decatur; five grandchildren and their spouses, Crystal and Skipper Jackson, Niki and Jonathan Long, Beth Dixon, Kyla Miller and Chanell Miller; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Tuesday at Bowers Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe K. Miller officiating. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Long, Skipper Jackson, Jacob Kennedy, Cameron Mayo, Tyson Palmer and Justin Finnell.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
