Howard G. Calvert, 88, of Richmond, MO, died on Friday, March 22, 2013 at the North Kansas City Hospital in North Kansas City, MO.

Howard was born on December 13, 1924 in Hale, MO to Calvin K. and Mildred (Hendrix) Calvert.

He married Marian B. Tollie of Richmond, MO on October 11, 1945. She survives of the home.

Howard was a lifelong farmer.

He was a United States Army Air Corps Veteran of WW II.

He was a member of the VFW Post #4398 in Richmond.

He was a charter member and board member of the Ray County Fair.

He was of the Christian faith.

He had lived in the Richmond area all of his life.

Additional survivors include; one son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Marcia Calvert of Richmond, MO; one daughter, Carolyn S. Stimelsky and her companion, Bill Parker of Gladstone, MO; one brother and sister-in-law, Harlan and Dottie Calvert of Henrietta, MO; one sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Robert D. Claypole of Richmond, MO; five grandchildren, Amy Calvert-Cowick, Ryan Calvert, Jerin Calvert and his wife, Cody, Jennifer Leblanc, Kimberly Mullin; ten great grandchildren and two great great granddaughters also survive.

In addition to his parents, Howard was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Calvert; and two great grandchildren, Skyler Hertzig and Seth Mullin.
