Gloria Arnold Hogan joined her loved ones in Heaven on March 15, 2013 in Memphis, Tennessee. Gloria was born on March 8, 1932 in Raleigh, where she lived her entire life. Gloria was born to Minnie Roberta Weakley-Arnold and Guthrie "Gus" Elmer Arnold. Gloria graduated from Bartlett High School and went on to become a Surgical and Obstetrical Technician at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Gloria was married to Jay Hogan, in 1959 and they would have been married 54 years this November. Jay passed away December, 2012. They ran a family business together in Raleigh for over 20 years. Gloria was an active member of the Raleigh Community Counsel. Gloria leaves behind one daughter, Leslie Hogan of Memphis/Kansas City. She also has 3 brothers, whom all are with our Heavenly Father, John Elmer Arnold, James Robert Arnold, and Jack Arnold. She leaves behind 3 grandaughters, Payton Walpole, Henley Walpole and Megan Hogan. Services will be 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2013 with visitation 12-2 p.m. at Forest Hill East, 2440 Whitten Rd, Memphis, TN 38133. Flowers can be sent to Forest Hill East, or if you wish, you can make a monetary donation in her name to: Raleigh Community Counsel, C/O Raleigh Cemetery, 3355 Austin Peay Hwy, Memphis, TN 38128. This is a 501 (3)(c) non-profit organization dedicated to restoring the old Raleigh cemetery, where Gloria's great-great-grandfather donated the land, when Raleigh was founded.
