FRANCES HENDREN COFFMAN, 85, died Saturday, March 23, 2013 at her home in Memphis, TN. She was born in Lauderdale County, TN to O.D. and Bessie Hendren on October 9, 1927. Frances was raised in Flippin, TN and lived most of her life in Memphis. After graduating from Ripley High School, she attended Bethel College. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Keith Coffman of Memphis; two sons, David Coffman of Olive Branch, MS and Lynn Coffman of Memphis; a daughter, Beverly Hight of Anderson, SC; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by a sister, Elizabeth Cochran of Brookhaven, MS and a brother, William Hendren of Ocean Springs, MS. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Julian Hendren and Marvin Hendren, and one sister, Anna Kate Schultz. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 26 from 12-2 p.m. at Aldersgate United Methodist Church with Funeral Services to follow at 2 p.m. Those attending the interment will reconvene at Gates Cemetery in Gates, TN at 4:30 p.m. that evening. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 4459 Willow Rd., Memphis, TN 38117, designated to the Scholarship Fund.
