CHARLESTON -Mrs. Alton (Charlene C. Bryant) Jacobs, 69, of Charleston died 3:12 a.m. Sunday (March 25, 1990) in Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Coles County.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Caudill King Funeral Home, Charleston, with visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Charleston. Memorials: American Cancer Society.
Mrs. Jacobs wasborn in Charleston, daughter of Charles and Henrietta Bryant.
She married Alton Jacobs in 1948. He died in 1968. Surviving are her sons, Allan J. "Butch" Bennett of Charleston; Larry Bennett of Los Angeles; Charles "Buddy" Jacobs of Charleston; daughter, Andrea Charles of Los Angeles; sister, Bertha Post of Oregon; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Two brothers, one sister and one grandson preceded her in death.
