Branson Sherrill, 67, passed from this life Friday night, December 10, after an illness of 2 years. Funeral services were held at the Church of God Monday, December 12 at 11 a.m. with Rev Allison in charge.
Bro Sherrill had been a devoted member of this church for many years and his daily life proved to all who knew him his sincerity of faith and religion; his life is a pattern that everyone should follow. With the death of Bro Sherrill, Crab Orchard loses one of its best citizens.
He leaves a wife; 5 sons and 1 daughter: Mrs Branson Sherrill, Crab Orchard; Virgil, Pittsburgh, Pa; David, Cincinnati, Oh; Major, Grandview; Leland and Cordell, Crab Orchard; Mrs Lily Edwards, Grandview. Burial was at Haley's Grove cemetery.
