WILLIAM GIBSON
William "Bill" L. Gibson Jr. William "Bill" L. Gibson Jr., 92, AKA "Hoot" Gibson, our beloved husband and father, passed away in Yelm on Thursday March 7, 2013, surrounded by his family and friends. He was born to William L. Sr. and Naomi E. (Howard) Gibson on February 6, 1921 in Clifton Forge, VA, the oldest of 11 children. Bill is survived by his wife of 70 years Ruby, his younger sister Catherine in Virginia, daughter Naomi E. Manning, son William L. Gibson III and wife Mary Jo, and daughter Caroline M. Gibson, 10 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews and cousins in Washington and southern states, as well as "Grandpa's little girl" and other special friends. He was preceded in death by a son, Roy J. Gibson. Bill loved traveling with his beloved wife Ruby in their 5th wheel all across the U.S.A. He will be remembered as a devoted family man. A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Yelm, WA. Visitation will be held from 12noon to 9pm on Saturday March 16 at Mountain View Funeral Home. A private family cryptside will be held at Mountain View Cemetery.
