Death of Rev. Dr. Codman
Our readers will regret to learn the melancholy intelligence of the death of the Rev. John Codman, D. D. He died at his residence in Dorchester, at two o'clock Thursday morning, after a brief but painful illness, at the age of sixty-five years, and in the fortieth year of his ministry. The death of Dr. Codman will not only be deeply felt by the Church and Society to which he has so long ministered, but by a wide-spread circle of friends and acquaintances, both in this country and abroad.
